Eleni was a fantastic host. She was informative and personalised our trip. She gave a great insight into Cypriot culture and history through the ages. She had great conversation and the tour was explorative showing hidden gems of the city and buffer zone.

Why Tour Europe With Us?

Message from Monique, Owner of Take Me To Europe

Join our expert-led tours to uncover the lands where history itself was forged. Our Greece, Malta, and Cyprus expeditions guide you through places where ancient civilizations collided, flourished, and left their indelible marks. From the sunlit shores of the Mediterranean to storied streets that have witnessed millennia of change, every step reveals a layer of humanity’s enduring story.

Greece, Malta, and Cyprus stand at the intersection of continents and cultures — a place where unknown ancient peoples, as well as Phoenicians, Mycenaeans, Egyptians, Romans, and Byzantines once crossed paths, traded ideas, and left their legacies. As you explore these lands, you’ll see how the rhythms of history continue to echo in the architecture, cuisine, and daily life.

Whether standing in awe of ancient temples, marveling at UNESCO World Heritage sites like the Tombs of the Kings in Paphos, or enjoying fresh local delicacies by the sea, our Cyprus Tours, Greece Tours, and Malta Tours connect you to the extraordinary history, rich archaeological record, and cosmopolitan essence of the Mediterranean.

Our expert local archaeologists and guides don’t just recount history; they bring it alive.  You’ll walk among ruins older than empires and feel the weight of millennia beneath your feet. And in every conversation, meal, and shared experience with locals, you’ll sense the unbroken connection between past and present.

From the gentle warmth of spring to the golden light of autumn, our tours are crafted to let you savor the essence of Greece, Cyprus, and Malta and many can be chained together to form longer expeditions of discovery. Dive into crystalline waters, explore ancient sites away from the crowds, and wander the narrow alleyways of historical towns and cities. These are experiences designed to create lasting memories and moments of pure discovery by bringing the past alive.

If you have any questions for us, feel free to get in touch or book a one-on-one appointment with our Founder, Monique Skidmore. And no, you don’t have to be a history buff, you don’t have to know anything about the historical record; these tours are simply for curious travelers who don’t want to be bored on holiday and who want to travel, stress-free, with like-minded companions. Of course, if you really want to dig something up…

Why Our Archaeological Tours Are Different

Local Archaeological Expertise

Unlike tour companies that bring in outside lecturers, our archaeological guides are locals who have lived and worked in these ancient landscapes their entire careers. Our professional archaeologists haven’t just studied these sites – they’ve excavated them! Our Cyprus archaeologist has excavated in Cyprus since 1977, including significant contributions to the Aceramic Neolithic site at Kalavasos-Tenta and Late Bronze Age tombs at sites including Ayios Dhimitrios. Our Malta guide is actively excavating at the major prehistoric sites in Malta when not teaching at the University of Malta. Our Greek team includes archaeologists who have contributed to expanding our knowledge of Minoan and Byzantine colonization of the Mediterranean.

This isn’t academic tourism – it’s archaeology from the inside.

Truly Small Groups - Maximum 12 Travelers

While other archaeological tour companies accommodate 16-18 people, we limit our groups to just 12 travelers. This means more personal attention from our archaeologists, the ability to access smaller sites and locations, and genuine discussions rather than one-way lectures. You’re not just a participant – you’re part of an intimate archaeological conversation.

Mediterranean Specialization

Unlike global tour operators who spread their focus across multiple continents, we specialize exclusively in Mediterranean archaeology. Our deep focus means unparalleled expertise in the interconnected civilizations of Cyprus, Malta, and Greece. We understand how Phoenicians, Romans, and Byzantines moved across these waters, creating the complex cultural layers you’ll discover.

In-Depth Archaeological Conversations

Our small group sizes mean genuine archaeological discussions unfold naturally as we explore sites together. Instead of morning lectures to large groups (yawn), we can linger over intriguing discoveries, dive deep into questions that arise, and have detailed conversations about what we’re observing. Every observation becomes a learning opportunity, and every question sparks rich historical and cultural dialogue.

Authentic Local Perspectives

While other tours offer the perspective of visiting academics, we provide the insights of archaeologists who call these places home. Our guides understand not just the ancient history, but how these sites connect to modern local communities, traditions, and ongoing archaeological research.

Personal Service, Not Institutional Tours

We’re not a large institution with standardized programs. We don’t run tours as part of a larger business. You are our business! Every tour is personally crafted by our local archaeological team. We can adapt to your interests, spend extra time at sites that fascinate you, and provide the kind of personalized attention that large organizations simply cannot offer.

Responsible Archaeological Tourism

We’re proud members of Responsible Travel, committed to creating sustainable livelihoods in the communities where we work. This isn’t just about visiting ancient sites – it’s about supporting the people who preserve and protect them today.

Our commitment to responsible travel means we hire local archaeologists and guides preferentially, supporting universities and archaeological programs in Cyprus, Malta, and Greece. When you travel with us, you’re directly contributing to the communities that safeguard these ancient treasures for future generations.

This approach creates a virtuous cycle: our local archaeological experts provide you with unparalleled insights, while your visit directly supports their ongoing work and their communities’ economic sustainability.

Fresh Approach to Ancient Sites

As a new company, we’re not bound by decades of scripted tours. Our local archaeological team brings current research, recent discoveries, and personalized insights that larger, established companies simply can’t offer. Every tour reflects the latest archaeological thinking and ongoing fieldwork.

An Active Archaeological Community

Our guides are part of the active archaeological community in each destination. They know the site directors, conservation specialists, and researchers working today. This means you’re not just visiting ancient sites – you’re connecting with the people who are actively uncovering and preserving these treasures.

The difference? We don't just visit archaeological sites - we live and work in them.

Beyond the Tourist Trail
While other tour operators focus on Europe’s well-trodden paths, we specialize in the strategic crossroads that shaped Western civilization. Our intimate focus on Greece, Malta, Sardinia, and Cyprus allows us unparalleled access to local archaeological networks, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and hidden discoveries that broader European tours simply cannot offer.

On our European tours, this dream becomes your reality. You’ll be welcomed like family, embraced by locals eager to share the treasures they hold most dear — from the intricate frescoes of painted monasteries to the secret recipes passed down through generations. Taste sun-ripened fruit plucked straight from their orchards, savor freshly caught fish prepared just steps from secluded sandy coves, and marvel at the ruins of great civilizations preserved through centuries.

Small Groups, Maximum Impact
Our small group sizes (maximum 12 travelers) ensure personalized attention and access to sites and experiences impossible with larger tour operators. We provide luxury accommodation, private transportation, and comprehensive historical immersion — all the logistical excellence of premium tour operators with the authentic connections only local specialists can offer.

This is not the Europe of postcards and packed tourist trails. It’s the Europe you’ve dreamt of, where the past is brought to life in ways you never imagined.
