Here’s what ATIA says about ATIA Accredited travel operators:

Peace of Mind for Every Journey

Look for the ATIA Tick when planning your next trip ATIA Accredited members are Recognised Travel Experts. Only businesses that meet rigorous industry, financial, and operational standards earn accreditation, ensuring peace of mind from booking to return. Plus, if something doesn’t go as expected, ATIA is here to help resolve issues fairly.

Trust in Expertise

ATIA Accredited agents and tour operators meet strict workforce requirements, ensuring they have the skills and experience to plan your trip with precision and care. With in-depth destination knowledge and access to exclusive industry deals, they create holidays tailored to you.

Financial Peace of Mind

Accredited businesses meet rigorous financial benchmarks, meaning the money you spend on travel is managed by a financially sound and responsible company. ATIA Accredited businesses must hold your funds in a separate account from operational funds, ensuring your money is used only for your travel.

ATIA Accredited businesses are required to hold both Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance policies. These safeguards ensure that, in the event of unforeseen circumstances, the business is equipped to continue providing travel experiences with the necessary cover in place.

Commitment to High Standards

Every ATIA Accredited business complies with Australian Consumer Law and are required to follow the ATIA Code of Conduct, which sets clear standards of good practice for travel businesses to uphold in their day-to-day operations. This ensures professionalism, integrity, and accountability across all interactions.

Support When You Need it

If your experience falls short of expectations, you can lodge a complaint with ATIA, where it will be independently assessed and resolved, giving you added confidence and protection.

Assessed Annually

The ATIA Accredited Tick isn’t a one-time achievement. Each year, businesses who wish to continue to hold accreditation must undergo a thorough assessment. They are evaluated annually against strict financial, workforce, and commercial safeguards, ensuring they consistently meet the high standards required to maintain their accreditation.

Layered Financial Protection

Take Me To Europe Tours has several additional forms of insurance, including Global Public Liability insurance, Tour Operator Insurance, and Professional Indemnity Insurance, to ensure layered protection for our clients (and of course, for our staff), so that you can relax before you’ve even made your initial tour deposit.

We source our insurance from AIG Australia Ltd., a part of the American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG). AIG Australia Ltd. is regulated by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).

Please feel free to ask us to provide you with a copy of our Insurance Certificates.

Separation of Client and Operating Accounts

All client payments, either by credit card or direct deposit, are deposited into a regularly audited client account with ANZ Banking Corporation (BSB: 013223 / Account: 177715458) and are held until payment is made directly to each contracted travel supplier.

TTS & Associates, an accredited chartered accounting firm, independently audits and reviews Take Me To Europe Tour’s Client account.

Under no circumstances will Take Me To Europe Tours accept cash payments, nor should your payments be made to any other bank account.

Take Me To Europe Tours operates a separate bank account for its day-to-day operational expenses with client funds and operational funds managed independently of each other (and held at different banks).

FAQs About Your Booking Protection

1. What happens to my deposit if the tour is cancelled?

If we ever need to cancel your tour (e.g. minimum numbers not reached, or a force majeure event), your funds are protected under ATIA Accreditation standards:

  • You will receive a full refund of all payments made to us (unless the cancellation is due to your own non‑payment).

  • ATIA requires accredited businesses to hold customer money in a separate account from operational funds, so your payments are always safeguarded.

2. Can I get a refund? What’s your cancellation policy?

Yes. Our cancellation policy remains clearly defined and ATIA‑compliant:

  • Cancel 120+ days before the start: deposit refunded less US $250.

  • Cancel 61–120 days before: 50% of your deposit refunded.

  • Cancel 60 days or less before the start, or fail to attend: no refund.

  • Cancel after starting the tour: no refund.

If we cancel the tour before departure and cannot provide a suitable alternative, you will receive a full refund of everything you’ve paid.

3. How do I know my funds are safe?

As an ATIA Accredited operator (Membership No: A19784), your money is managed in strict compliance with ATIA standards. This means:

  • Client funds are held separately from our operating funds.

  • We undergo annual independent financial reviews to confirm ongoing solvency.

  • We carry Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance, so you’re protected against unforeseen events.

You can verify our credentials anytime by searching the ATIA database at https://traveltick.com.au

4. What if I have a complaint?

We always encourage you to raise any concerns directly with your tour leader during your trip so we can resolve issues immediately. If you are still unsatisfied, you may submit a formal complaint through our Complaints Policy on our website.

As an ATIA Member, you also have the added protection of independent dispute resolution via ATIA. If your complaint cannot be resolved with us, you can lodge it with ATIA, where it will be independently assessed and fairly resolved.

5. Do I need travel insurance for my booking with you?

Yes. Even with ATIA protections in place, travel insurance is essential. ATIA requires members to carry industry‑standard insurance, but this does not cover personal circumstances. We strongly recommend you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes trip cancellation, medical cover, and evacuation cover.

6. Where can I check your ATIA status or verify your credentials?

Take Me To Europe Tours is fully ATIA Accredited (Membership No: A19784).
You can:

  • Search for us on the official ATIA database at https://traveltick.com.au,

  • Learn more about what ATIA Accreditation means, and

  • Contact ATIA directly if you need assurance from the industry body.

This accreditation demonstrates that we meet rigorous industry, financial, and operational standards, giving you peace of mind from booking through to your safe return home.
