What to Expect

Spring and Fall in Northern Greece is mainly fine (4-7 days of rain on average per month), and an average daytime temperature of 24 °C – 26 °C (75 – 80 °F). It is a diverse climate with cooler mountain hideaways. We take advantage of the long warm shoulder seasons that have 9 hours of sunshine each day to spend time beside the water and walking and mountain experiences. We design our experiences to avoid the crowds and give you time to get lost in the moment.

A treasure trove of ancient sites, astonishing mountain vistas, sophisticated and charming cities, and traditional markets, vineyards, and villages, we go deep into Macedonian Greece, mixing up our journey through its historical sites with water activities, food, wine, farm, and cooking experiences.

With a maximum of only 10 guests, we’re a happy little company of explorers who have fun each day on tour socializing over unforgettable wine and food. We come home at night to luxury accommodation that shows off the very best of Athens and Northern Greece. The experiences you have on tour with us create memories of a lifetime because you are not just sightseeing – you are understanding, learning, and making: making food, new friends, and memories. On tour, you come to know Northern Greece through all of your senses.

Over our two days in Thessaloniki, we want to see as many of its UNESCO treasures as possible!

After lunch, we make an optional visit to the ruins of Ancient Pella and its museum. If you’re a history buff, you won’t want to miss this, but if you need a nap, some retail therapy, or just time to relax on your private balcony, we’ll meet up with you later.

We end our day with a visit to a vineyard, wine tasting, and dinner on the terrace of our winery.

We travel south for one hour to Vergina, and take a private tour with our archaeologist guide of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ancient Aigai (Vergina). We visit the new Polycentric Museum, the gateway to the site, and then venture under the tumulus to the Museum of the Royal Macedonian Tombs where we discover the tomb of King Philip II and the astonishing grave goods buried with him.

We feast on local cuisine and wine at a local award-winning winery, before setting off on our trip to Meteora where we check-in to our brand-new boutique hotel and feast tonight on regional delicacies and local wines.
